On June 4th, our good friend Richard Lima departed from our Lake Norman location in Mooresville on a fully outfitted Checkpoint SL 5 for a 3000+ mile journey riding his bike across America. As someone who recently lost a family member to suicide, Richard’s goal is to raise awareness and money for suicide prevention. In partnership with National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), his ride will take him through multiple cities and states where he will be stopping at local NAMI affiliates and organizations to motivate others to get involved.
Our very own general manager and owner, Doug Korinek, has joined Richard for the first stretch of his journey, and while Richard will ride much of the journey alone, because of those supporting his cause he knows he is Never Riding Alone. If you would like to support Richard’s ride, click the button below to donate, and follow his Instagram account @richardlima1 for updates as he crosses the country. Trek of CLT is cheering you on, Richard!
