Ready to Ride Checklist

If you've been in hibernation this winter, there are a few things you may need to double check before hopping back on the bike this riding season.

1. Helmet

How Old is Your Helmet?

A worn-out helmet is not something to mess around with, and most helmets have a 3-5 year shelf life. Bring your helmet by for an assessment to see if it's time for a new one.

2. Lights

Yes, it's getting brighter outside, but yes, you still need lights on your bike. If you don't have any, shop now because the Flare R tail light is on sale while supplies last!

3. Tires

"Bare" is not a word you want to use to describe any tire. Ever. Before your ride time increases, check your tread.

4. Hydration

No one wants (or should have) a moldy water bottle or hydration pack. If you forgot to rinse yours out last time you rode and left it to just hang out for a few months, you probably need to look into a fresh start this year. Shop hydration for new bottles, hydration packs, or replacement hoses:

5. Pedals and Cleats

No one enjoys tipping over on their bike because they couldn't unclip. Or having their foot pop off the pedal unexpectedly. When cleats begin to wear out, their connection to your pedals becomes sloppier. Chances are, you only need to adjust or replace your cleats, but this is also a good time to check your shoes and pedals as well.

5. Service

Estimates are free. Which means it won't cost you anything to have us assess your bike and let you know if you just need to clean off a few dust bunnies or if you need a complete overhaul to start rolling again.
